You will take a look behind the scenes of the General Assembly and we invite you to become part of one of its historic contributions to developing a nuclear ban treaty. 

Objectives

After completing of this module you will be able to:

  1. explain the role, politics and decision-making of the General Assembly
  2. discuss some of the issues it is trying to revitalise
  3. explain the role of the General Assembly in the negotiations for a nuclear ban treaty
  4. discuss New Zealand’s role in the negotiations
